5 And G2532 when G5613 Jesus G2424 came G2064 to G1909 the place, G5117 he looked up, G308 and saw G1492 him, G846 and G2532 said G2036 unto G4314 him, G846 Zacchaeus, G2195 make haste, G4692 and come down; G2597 for G1063 to day G4594 I G3165 must G1163 abide G3306 at G1722 thy G4675 house. G3624
There cometh G2064 a woman G1135 of G1537 Samaria G4540 to draw G501 water: G5204 Jesus G2424 saith G3004 unto her, G846 Give G1325 me G3427 to drink. G4095 (For G1063 his G846 disciples G3101 were gone away G565 unto G1519 the city G4172 to G2443 buy G59 meat.) G5160 Then G3767 saith G3004 the woman G1135 of Samaria G4542 unto him, G846 How is it that G4459 thou, G4771 being G5607 a Jew, G2453 askest G154 drink G4095 of G3844 me, G1700 which am G5607 a woman G1135 of Samaria? G4542 for G1063 the Jews G2453 have G4798 no G3756 dealings G4798 with the Samaritans. G4541 Jesus G2424 answered G611 and G2532 said G2036 unto her, G846 If G1487 thou knewest G1492 the gift G1431 of God, G2316 and G2532 who G5101 it is G2076 that saith G3004 to thee, G4671 Give G1325 me G3427 to drink; G4095 thou G4771 wouldest G302 have asked G154 of him, G846 and G2532 he would G302 have given G1325 thee G4671 living G2198 water. G5204
And said, H559 My Lord, H136 if now I have found H4672 favour H2580 in thy sight, H5869 pass not away, H5674 I pray thee, from thy servant: H5650 Let a little H4592 water, H4325 I pray you, H4994 be fetched, H3947 and wash H7364 your feet, H7272 and rest yourselves H8172 under the tree: H6086 And I will fetch H3947 a morsel H6595 of bread, H3899 and comfort ye H5582 your hearts; H3820 after that H310 ye shall pass on: H5674 for therefore are ye come H5674 to H5921 your servant. H5650 And they said, H1696 So do, H6213 as thou hast said. H559
And there came H935 two H8147 angels H4397 to Sodom H5467 at even; H6153 and Lot H3876 sat H3427 in the gate H8179 of Sodom: H5467 and Lot H3876 seeing H7200 them rose up H6965 to meet H7125 them; and he bowed H7812 himself with his face H639 toward the ground; H776 And he said, H559 Behold now, my lords, H113 turn in, H5493 I pray you, into your servant's H5650 house, H1004 and tarry all night, H3885 and wash H7364 your feet, H7272 and ye shall rise up early, H7925 and go H1980 on your ways. H1870 And they said, H559 Nay; but we will abide H3885 in the street H7339 all night. H3885 And he pressed H6484 upon them greatly; H3966 and they turned in H5493 unto him, and entered H935 into his house; H1004 and he made H6213 them a feast, H4960 and did bake H644 unleavened bread, H4682 and they did eat. H398
I will behave myself wisely H7919 in a perfect H8549 way. H1870 O when wilt thou come H935 unto me? I will walk H1980 within H7130 my house H1004 with a perfect H8537 heart. H3824 I will set H7896 no wicked H1100 thing H1697 before mine eyes: H5869 I hate H8130 the work H6213 of them that turn aside; H7750 it shall not cleave H1692 to me.
[[To the chief Musician, H5329 A Psalm H4210 of David.]] H1732 O LORD, H3068 thou hast searched H2713 me, and known H3045 me. Thou knowest H3045 my downsitting H3427 and mine uprising, H6965 thou understandest H995 my thought H7454 afar off. H7350 Thou compassest H2219 my path H734 and my lying down, H7252 and art acquainted H5532 with all my ways. H1870

Commentary on Luke 19 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 19
In this chapter we have,
Luk 19:1-10
Many, no doubt, were converted to the faith of Christ of whom no account is kept in the gospels; but the conversion of some, whose case had something in it extraordinary, is recorded, as this of Zaccheus. Christ passed through Jericho, v. 1. This city was build under a curse, yet Christ honoured it with his presence, for the gospel takes away the curse. Though it ought not to have been built, yet it was not therefore a sin to live in it when it was built. Christ was now going from the other side Jordan to Bethany near Jerusalem, to raise Lazarus to life; when he was going to do one good work he contrived to do many by the way. He did good both to the souls and to the bodies of people; we have here an instance of the former. Observe,
Luk 19:11-27
Our Lord Jesus is now upon his way to Jerusalem, to his last passover, when he was to suffer and die; now here we are told,
Luk 19:28-40
We have here the same account of Christ's riding in some sort of triumph (such as it was) into Jerusalem which we had before in Matthew and Mark; let us therefore here only observe,
Luk 19:41-48
The great Ambassador from heaven is here making his public entry into Jerusalem, not to be respected there, but to be rejected; he knew what a nest of vipers he was throwing himself into, and yet see here two instances of his love to that place and his concern for it.
