15 But the gate H8179 of the fountain H5869 repaired H2388 Shallun H7968 the son H1121 of Colhozeh, H3626 the ruler H8269 of part H6418 of Mizpah; H4709 he built H1129 it, and covered H2926 it, and set up H5975 the doors H1817 thereof, the locks H4514 thereof, and the bars H1280 thereof, and the wall H2346 of the pool H1295 of Siloah H7975 by the king's H4428 garden, H1588 and unto the stairs H4609 that go down H3381 from the city H5892 of David. H1732
And at the fountain H5869 gate, H8179 which was over against them, they went up H5927 by the stairs H4609 of the city H5892 of David, H1732 at the going up H4608 of the wall, H2346 above the house H1004 of David, H1732 even unto the water H4325 gate H8179 eastward. H4217
Forasmuch H3282 as this people H5971 refuseth H3988 the waters H4325 of Shiloah H7975 that go H1980 softly, H328 and rejoice H4885 in Rezin H7526 and Remaliah's H7425 son; H1121
Or G2228 those G1565 eighteen, G1176 G2532 G3638 upon G1909 whom G3739 the tower G4444 in G1722 Siloam G4611 fell, G4098 and G2532 slew G615 them, G846 think ye G1380 that G3754 they G3778 were G1096 sinners G3781 above G3844 all G3956 men G444 that dwelt G2730 in G1722 Jerusalem? G2419
(Now the children H1121 of Benjamin H1144 heard H8085 that the children H1121 of Israel H3478 were gone up H5927 to Mizpeh.) H4709 Then said H559 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 Tell H1696 us, how was H1961 this wickedness? H7451
And the king H4428 and his men H582 went H3212 to Jerusalem H3389 unto the Jebusites, H2983 the inhabitants H3427 of the land: H776 which spake H559 unto David, H1732 saying, H559 Except thou take away H5493 the blind H5787 and the lame, H6455 thou shalt not come in H935 hither: thinking, H559 David H1732 cannot come in H935 hither. Nevertheless David H1732 took H3920 the strong hold H4686 of Zion: H6726 the same is the city H5892 of David. H1732
And the city H5892 was broken up, H1234 and all the men H582 of war H4421 fled by night H3915 by the way H1870 of the gate H8179 between two walls, H2346 which is by the king's H4428 garden: H1588 (now the Chaldees H3778 were against the city H5892 round about:) H5439 and the king went H3212 the way H1870 toward the plain. H6160
This same Hezekiah H3169 also stopped H5640 the upper H5945 watercourse H4161 H4325 of Gihon, H1521 and brought it straight H3474 down H4295 to the west side H4628 of the city H5892 of David. H1732 And Hezekiah H3169 prospered H6743 in all his works. H4639
And next unto him H3027 repaired H2388 Shallum H7967 the son H1121 of Halohesh, H3873 the ruler H8269 of the half H2677 part H6418 of Jerusalem, H3389 he and his daughters. H1323

Commentary on Nehemiah 3 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 3
Saying and doing are often two things: many are ready to say, "Let us rise up and build,' who sit still and do nothing, like that fair-spoken son who said,"I go, Sir, but went not.' The undertakers here were none of those. As soon as they had resolved to build the wall about Jerusalem they lost no time, but set about it presently, as we find in this chapter. Let it never be said that we left that good work to be done to-morrow which we might as well have done to-day. This chapter gives an account of two things:-
Neh 3:1-32
The best way to know how to divide this chapter is to observe how the work was divided among the undertakers, that every one might know what he had to do, and mind it accordingly with a holy emulation, and desire to excel, yet without any contention, animosity, or separate interest. No strife appears among them but which should do most for the public good. Several things are observable in the account here given of the building of the wall about Jerusalem:-
