7 And they warred H6633 against the Midianites, H4080 as the LORD H3068 commanded H6680 Moses; H4872 and they slew H2026 all the males. H2145
For it came to pass, when David H1732 was in Edom, H123 and Joab H3097 the captain H8269 of the host H6635 was gone up H5927 to bury H6912 the slain, H2491 after he had smitten H5221 every male H2145 in Edom; H123 (For six H8337 months H2320 did Joab H3097 remain H3427 there with all Israel, H3478 until he had cut off H3772 every male H2145 in Edom:) H123
And when the LORD H3068 thy God H430 hath delivered H5414 it into thine hands, H3027 thou shalt smite H5221 every male H2138 thereof with the edge H6310 of the sword: H2719 But the women, H802 and the little ones, H2945 and the cattle, H929 and all that is in the city, H5892 even all the spoil H7998 thereof, shalt thou take H962 unto thyself; and thou shalt eat H398 the spoil H7998 of thine enemies, H341 which the LORD H3068 thy God H430 hath given H5414 thee.
And the children H1121 of Israel H3478 did H6213 evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the LORD: H3068 and the LORD H3068 delivered H5414 them into the hand H3027 of Midian H4080 seven H7651 years. H8141 And the hand H3027 of Midian H4080 prevailed H5810 against Israel: H3478 and because H6440 of the Midianites H4080 the children H1121 of Israel H3478 made H6213 them the dens H4492 which are in the mountains, H2022 and caves, H4631 and strong holds. We have here the triumphant return of the army of Israel from the war with Midian, and here,
Num 31:25-47

Num 31:48-54
