26 For G1894 he G2258 longed after G1971 you G5209 all, G3956 and G2532 was full of heaviness, G85 because G1360 that ye had heard G191 that G3754 he had been sick. G770
For G1063 God G2316 is G2076 my G3450 record, G3144 how G5613 greatly I long after G1971 you G5209 all G3956 in G1722 the bowels G4698 of Jesus G2424 Christ. G5547
Wherein G1722 G3739 ye greatly rejoice, G21 though now G737 for a season, G3641 if G1487 need G1163 be, G2076 ye are in heaviness G3076 through G1722 manifold G4164 temptations: G3986
Wherefore G1352 I desire G154 that ye faint G1573 not G3361 at G1722 my G3450 tribulations G2347 for G5228 you, G5216 which G3748 is G2076 your G5216 glory. G1391
And G2532 whether G1535 one G1520 member G3196 suffer, G3958 all G3956 the members G3196 suffer with it; G4841 or G1535 one G1520 member G3196 be honoured, G1392 all G3956 the members G3196 rejoice with it. G4796
Then G1161 Paul G3972 answered, G611 What G5101 mean ye G4160 to weep G2799 and G2532 to break G4919 mine G3450 heart? G2588 for G1063 I G1473 am G2192 ready G2093 not G3756 to be bound G1210 only, G3440 but G2532 also G235 to die G599 at G1519 Jerusalem G2419 for G5228 the name G3686 of the Lord G2962 Jesus. G2424
Come G1205 unto G4314 me, G3165 all G3956 ye that labour G2872 and G2532 are heavy laden, G5412 and I G2504 will give G373 you G5209 rest. G373
To appoint H7760 unto them that mourn H57 in Zion, H6726 to give H5414 unto them beauty H6287 for ashes, H665 the oil H8081 of joy H8342 for mourning, H60 the garment H4594 of praise H8416 for the spirit H7307 of heaviness; H3544 that they might be called H7121 trees H352 of righteousness, H6664 the planting H4302 of the LORD, H3068 that he might be glorified. H6286
Reproach H2781 hath broken H7665 my heart; H3820 and I am full of heaviness: H5136 and I looked H6960 for some to take pity, H5110 but there was none; and for comforters, H5162 but I found H4672 none.
If I say, H559 I will forget H7911 my complaint, H7879 I will leave off H5800 my heaviness, H6440 and comfort H1082 myself:
And David H1732 spake H559 unto the LORD H3068 when he saw H7200 the angel H4397 that smote H5221 the people, H5971 and said, H559 Lo, I have sinned, H2398 and I have done wickedly: H5753 but these sheep, H6629 what have they done? H6213 let thine hand, H3027 I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's H1 house. H1004

Commentary on Philippians 2 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 2
The apostle proceeds to further exhortations to several duties, to be like-minded, and lowly-minded, which he presses from the example of Christ (v. 1-11), to be diligent and serious in the Christian course (v. 12, 13), and to adorn their Christian profession by several suitable graces (v. 14-18). He then concludes with particular notice and commendation of two good ministers, Timothy and Epaphroditus, whom he designed to send to them (v. 19-30).
Phl 2:1-11
The apostle proceeds in this chapter where he left off in the last, with further exhortations to Christian duties. He presses them largely to like-mindedness and lowly-mindedness, in conformity to the example of the Lord Jesus, the great pattern of humility and love. Here we may observe,
Phl 2:12-13
Phl 2:14-18
The apostle exhorts them in these verses to adorn their Christian profession by a suitable temper and behaviour, in several instances.
Phl 2:19-30
Paul takes particular notice of two good ministers; for though he was himself a great apostle, and laboured more abundantly than they all, yet he took all occasions to speak with respect of those who were far his inferiors.
