2 Serve H5647 the LORD H3068 with gladness: H8057 come H935 before his presence H6440 with singing. H7445
Let us come H6923 before his presence H6440 with thanksgiving, H8426 and make a joyful noise H7321 unto him with psalms. H2158
And ye shall rejoice H8055 before H6440 the LORD H3068 your God, H430 ye, and your sons, H1121 and your daughters, H1323 and your menservants, H5650 and your maidservants, H519 and the Levite H3881 that is within your gates; H8179 forasmuch H3588 as he hath no part H2506 nor inheritance H5159 with you.
And thou shalt rejoice H8055 before H6440 the LORD H3068 thy God, H430 thou, and thy son, H1121 and thy daughter, H1323 and thy manservant, H5650 and thy maidservant, H519 and the Levite H3881 that is within thy gates, H8179 and the stranger, H1616 and the fatherless, H3490 and the widow, H490 that are among H7130 you, in the place H4725 which the LORD H3068 thy God H430 hath chosen H977 to place H7931 his name H8034 there.
On the eighth H8066 day H3117 he sent H7971 the people H5971 away: H7971 and they blessed H1288 the king, H4428 and went H3212 unto their tents H168 joyful H8056 and glad H2896 of heart H3820 for all the goodness H2896 that the LORD H3068 had done H6213 for David H1732 his servant, H5650 and for Israel H3478 his people. H5971
Then they returned, H7725 every man H376 of Judah H3063 and Jerusalem, H3389 and Jehoshaphat H3092 in the forefront H7218 of them, to go again H7725 to Jerusalem H3389 with joy; H8057 for the LORD H3068 had made them to rejoice H8055 over their enemies. H341 And they came H935 to Jerusalem H3389 with psalteries H5035 and harps H3658 and trumpets H2689 unto the house H1004 of the LORD. H3068
And Hezekiah H3169 appointed H5975 the courses H4256 of the priests H3548 and the Levites H3881 after their courses, H4256 every man H376 according H6310 to his service, H5656 the priests H3548 and Levites H3881 for burnt offerings H5930 and for peace offerings, H8002 to minister, H8334 and to give thanks, H3034 and to praise H1984 in the gates H8179 of the tents H4264 of the LORD. H3068
When I remember H2142 these things, I pour out H8210 my soul H5315 in me: for I had gone H5674 with the multitude, H5519 I went H1718 with them to the house H1004 of God, H430 with the voice H6963 of joy H7440 and praise, H8426 with a multitude H1995 that kept holyday. H2287
Oh that men would praise H3034 the LORD H3068 for his goodness, H2617 and for his wonderful works H6381 to the children H1121 of men! H120 And let them sacrifice H2076 the sacrifices H2077 of thanksgiving, H8426 and declare H5608 his works H4639 with rejoicing. H7440
And G5037 they, continuing G4342 daily G2596 G2250 with one accord G3661 in G1722 the temple, G2411 and G5037 breaking G2806 bread G740 from G2596 house to house, G3624 did eat G3335 their meat G5160 with G1722 gladness G20 and G2532 singleness G858 of heart, G2588 Praising G134 God, G2316 and G2532 having G2192 favour G5485 with G4314 all G3650 the people. G2992 And G1161 the Lord G2962 added G4369 to the church G1577 daily G2596 G2250 such as should be saved. G4982

Commentary on Psalms 100 Matthew Henry Commentary
Psalm 100
It is with good reason that many sing this psalm very frequently in their religious assemblies, for it is very proper both to express and to excite pious and devout affections towards God in our approach to him in holy ordinances; and, if our hearts go along with the words, we shall make melody in it to the Lord. The Jews say it was penned to be sung with their thank-offerings; perhaps it was; but we say that as there is nothing in it peculiar to their economy so its beginning with a call to all lands to praise God plainly extends it to the gospel-church. Here,
These are plain and common things, and therefore the more fit to be the matter of devotion.
A psalm of praise.
