7 Let Israel H3478 hope H3176 in the LORD: H3068 for with the LORD H3068 there is mercy, H2617 and with him is plenteous H7235 redemption. H6304
Let Israel H3478 hope H3176 in the LORD H3068 from henceforth and for H5704 ever. H5769
My G3450 little children, G5040 these things G5023 write I G1125 unto you, G5213 that G3363 ye sin G264 not. G3363 And G2532 if G1437 any man G5100 sin, G264 we have G2192 an advocate G3875 with G4314 the Father, G3962 Jesus G2424 Christ G5547 the righteous: G1342 And G2532 he G846 is G2076 the propitiation G2434 for G4012 our G2257 sins: G266 and G1161 not G3756 for G4012 ours G2251 only, G3440 but G235 also G2532 for G4012 the sins of the whole G3650 world. G2889
In G1722 whom G3739 we have G2192 redemption G629 through G1223 his G846 blood, G129 the forgiveness G859 of sins, G3900 according G2596 to the riches G4149 of his G846 grace; G5485 Wherein G3739 he hath abounded G4052 toward G1519 us G2248 in G1722 all G3956 wisdom G4678 and G2532 prudence; G5428
Moreover G1161 the law G3551 entered, G3922 that G2443 the offence G3900 might abound. G4121 But G1161 where G3757 sin G266 abounded, G4121 grace G5485 did much more abound: G5248 That G2443 as G5618 sin G266 hath reigned G936 unto G1722 death, G2288 even G2532 so G3779 might G936 grace G5485 reign G936 through G1223 righteousness G1343 unto G1519 eternal G166 life G2222 by G1223 Jesus G2424 Christ G5547 our G2257 Lord. G2962
And G2532 they sung G103 a new G2537 song, G5603 saying, G3004 Thou art G1488 worthy G514 to take G2983 the book, G975 and G2532 to open G455 the seals G4973 thereof: G846 for G3754 thou wast slain, G4969 and G2532 hast redeemed G59 us G2248 to God G2316 by G1722 thy G4675 blood G129 out of G1537 every G3956 kindred, G5443 and G2532 tongue, G1100 and G2532 people, G2992 and G2532 nation; G1484
Cast G577 not G3361 away G577 therefore G3767 your G5216 confidence, G3954 which G3748 hath G2192 great G3173 recompence of reward. G3405
And he hath put H5414 a new H2319 song H7892 in my mouth, H6310 even praise H8416 unto our God: H430 many H7227 shall see H7200 it, and fear, H3372 and shall trust H982 in the LORD. H3068
[[A Song H7892 of degrees H4609 of David.]] H1732 LORD, H3068 my heart H3820 is not haughty, H1361 nor mine eyes H5869 lofty: H7311 neither do I exercise H1980 myself in great matters, H1419 or in things too high H6381 for me.
But there is forgiveness H5547 with thee, that thou mayest be feared. H3372
O Israel, H3478 trust H982 thou in the LORD: H3068 he is their help H5828 and their shield. H4043 O house H1004 of Aaron, H175 trust H982 in the LORD: H3068 he is their help H5828 and their shield. H4043 Ye that fear H3373 the LORD, H3068 trust H982 in the LORD: H3068 he is their help H5828 and their shield. H4043 The LORD H3068 hath been mindful H2142 of us: he will bless H1288 us; he will bless H1288 the house H1004 of Israel; H3478 he will bless H1288 the house H1004 of Aaron. H175 He will bless H1288 them that fear H3373 the LORD, H3068 both small H6996 and great. H1419

Commentary on Psalms 130 Matthew Henry Commentary
Psalm 130
This psalm relates not to any temporal concern, either personal or public, but it is wholly taken up with the affairs of the soul. It is reckoned one of the seven penitential psalms, which have sometimes been made use of by penitents, upon their admission into the church; and, in singing it, we are all concerned to apply it to ourselves. The psalmist here expresses,
And, as in water face answers to face, so does the heart of one humble penitent to another.
A song of degrees.
