2 To speak evil of G987 no man, G3367 to be G1511 no brawlers, G269 but gentle, G1933 shewing G1731 all G3956 meekness G4236 unto G4314 all G3956 men. G444
And G1161 the servant G1401 of the Lord G2962 must G1163 not G3756 strive; G3164 but G235 be G1511 gentle G2261 unto G4314 all G3956 men, apt to teach, G1317 patient, G420 In G1722 meekness G4236 instructing G3811 those that oppose themselves; G475 if G3379 God G2316 peradventure G3379 will give G1325 them G846 repentance G3341 to G1519 the acknowledging G1922 of the truth; G225
Wherefore, G5620 my G3450 beloved G27 brethren, G80 let G2077 every G3956 man G444 be G2077 swift G5036 to G1519 hear, G191 slow G1021 to G1519 speak, G2980 slow G1021 to G1519 wrath: G3709 For G1063 the wrath G3709 of man G435 worketh G2716 not G3756 the righteousness G1343 of God. G2316
Put on G1746 therefore, G3767 as G5613 the elect G1588 of God, G2316 holy G40 and G2532 beloved, G25 bowels G4698 of mercies, G3628 kindness, G5544 humbleness of mind, G5012 meekness, G4236 longsuffering; G3115 Forbearing G430 one another, G240 and G2532 forgiving G5483 one another, G1438 if G1437 any man G5100 have G2192 a quarrel G3437 against G4314 any: G5100 even as G2531 G2532 Christ G5547 forgave G5483 you, G5213 so G3779 also G2532 do ye. G5210
Brethren, G80 if G1437 G2532 a man G444 be overtaken G4301 in G1722 a G5100 fault, G3900 ye G5210 which G3588 are spiritual, G4152 restore G2675 such an one G5108 in G1722 the spirit G4151 of meekness; G4236 considering G4648 thyself, G4572 lest G3361 thou G4771 also G2532 be tempted. G3985
But G1161 the fruit G2590 of the Spirit G4151 is G2076 love, G26 joy, G5479 peace, G1515 longsuffering, G3115 gentleness, G5544 goodness, G19 faith, G4102
Now G1161 we exhort G3870 you, G5209 brethren, G80 warn G3560 them that are unruly, G813 comfort G3888 the feebleminded, G3642 support G472 the weak, G772 be patient G3114 toward G4314 all G3956 men. See G3708 that none G3361 G5100 render G591 evil G2556 for G473 evil G2556 unto any G5100 man; but G235 ever G3842 follow G1377 that which G3588 is good, G18 both G2532 among G1519 yourselves, G240 and G2532 to G1519 all G3956 men.
But G1161 the wisdom G4678 that is from above G509 is G2076 first G4412 pure, G3303 G53 then G1899 peaceable, G1516 gentle, G1933 and easy to be intreated, G2138 full G3324 of mercy G1656 and G2532 good G18 fruits, G2590 without partiality, G87 and G2532 without hypocrisy. G505
Speak G2635 not G3361 evil G2635 one of another, G240 brethren. G80 He that speaketh evil G2635 of his brother, G80 and G2532 judgeth G2919 his G846 brother, G80 speaketh evil G2635 of the law, G3551 and G2532 judgeth G2919 the law: G3551 but G1161 if G1487 thou judge G2919 the law, G3551 thou art G1488 not G3756 a doer G4163 of the law, G3551 but G235 a judge. G2923
Honour G5091 all G3956 men. Love G25 the brotherhood. G81 Fear G5399 God. G2316 Honour G5091 the king. G935 Servants, G3610 be subject G5293 to your masters G1203 with G1722 all G3956 fear; G5401 not G3756 only G3440 to the good G18 and G2532 gentle, G1933 but G235 also G2532 to the froward. G4646
It is better H2896 to dwell H3427 in the corner H6438 of the housetop, H1406 than with a brawling H4079 H4066 woman H802 and in a wide H2267 house. H1004
A false H8267 witness H5707 that speaketh H6315 lies, H3577 and he that soweth H7971 discord H4090 among brethren. H251
Nor G3777 thieves, G2812 nor G3777 covetous, G4123 nor G3777 drunkards, G3183 nor G3756 revilers, G3060 nor G3756 extortioners, G727 shall inherit G3756 G2816 the kingdom G932 of God. G2316
For G1063 though I be G5607 free G1658 from G1537 all G3956 men, yet have I made G1402 myself G1683 servant G1402 unto all, G3956 that G2443 I might gain G2770 the more. G4119
Now G1161 I G1473 Paul G3972 myself G846 beseech G3870 you G5209 by G1223 the meekness G4236 and G2532 gentleness G1932 of Christ, G5547 who G3739 in G2596 presence G4383 am base G3303 G5011 among G1722 you, G5213 but G1161 being absent G548 am bold G2292 toward G1519 you: G5209
For G1063 I fear, G5399 lest, G3381 G4458 when I come, G2064 I shall G2147 not G3756 find G2147 you G5209 such as G3634 I would, G2309 and that I G2504 shall be found G2147 unto you G5213 such as G3634 ye would G2309 not: G3756 lest G3381 G4458 there be debates, G2054 envyings, G2205 wraths, G2372 strifes, G2052 backbitings, G2636 whisperings, G5587 swellings, G5450 tumults: G181
Wherein G1722 G3739 they think it strange G3579 that ye G5216 run G4936 not G3361 with them to G1519 the same G846 excess G401 of riot, G810 speaking evil of G987 you:

Commentary on Titus 3 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 3
Of duties which concern Christians more in common, and the reasons of them (v. 1-8). What Titus in teaching should avoid, and how he should deal with a heretic, with some other directions (v. 9-14), and salutations in the close (v. 15).
Tts 3:1-8
Here is the fourth thing in the matter of the epistle. The apostle had directed Titus in reference to the particular and special duties of several sorts of persons; now he bids him exhort to what concerned them more in common, namely, to quietness and submission to rulers, and readiness to do good, and to equitable and gentle behaviour towards all men-things comely and ornamental of religion; he must therefore put them in mind of such things. Ministers are people's remembrancers of their duty. As they are remembrancers for the people to God in prayers (Isa. 62:6), so are they from God to them in preaching: I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance, 2 Pt. 1:12. Forgetfulness of duty is a common frailty; there is need therefore of reminding and quickening them thereto. Here are the duties themselves, and the reasons of them.
Tts 3:9-15
Here is the fifth and last thing in the matter of the epistle: what Titus should avoid in teaching; how he should deal with a heretic; with some other directions. Observe,
