14 This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
Beloved, if our hearts don't condemn us, we have boldness toward God; and whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don't know.
The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God, and does his will, he listens to him.
All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
Therefore don't throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.
For Yahweh hears the needy, And doesn't despise his captive people.
As for me, I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before your eyes." Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.
For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end:
but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.
"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

In this chapter the apostle asserts,
1Jo 5:1-5
1Jo 5:6-9
The faith of the Christian believer (or the believer in Christ) being thus mighty and victorious, it had need to be well founded, to be furnished with unquestionable celestial evidence concerning the divine mission, authority, and office of the Lord Jesus; and it is so; he brings his credentials along with him, and he brings them in a way by which he came and in the witness that attends him.
1Jo 5:10-13
