7 Therefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their donkeys, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
For, behold, the kings assembled themselves, They passed by together. They saw it, then they were amazed. They were dismayed, They hurried away. Trembling took hold of them there, Pain, as of a woman in travail.
The wicked flee when no one pursues; But the righteous are as bold as a lion.
then you shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person unwittingly may flee there. The cities shall be to you for refuge from the avenger, that the manslayer not die, until he stands before the congregation for judgment.
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, And shall chase him at his heels.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, But we trust the name of Yahweh our God. They are bowed down and fallen, But we rise up, and stand upright.
"Kings of armies flee! They flee!" She who waits at home divides the spoil,
Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, Like a bird from the snare of the fowler.
In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, And their idols of gold, Which have been made for themselves to worship, To the moles and to the bats;
The destroyer shall come on every city, and no city shall escape; the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed; as Yahweh has spoken. Give wings to Moab, that she may fly and get her away: and her cities shall become a desolation, without any to dwell therein.
Flight will perish from the swift; And the strong won't strengthen his force; Neither shall the mighty deliver himself; Neither shall he stand who handles the bow; And he who is swift of foot won't escape; Neither shall he who rides the horse deliver himself; And he who is courageous among the mighty will flee away naked in that day," says Yahweh.
then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house. Let him who is in the field not return back to get his clothes.
