23 If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;
Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, That man who is of the earth may terrify no more.
If my land cries out against me, And the furrows of it weep together; If I have eaten the fruits of it without money, Or have caused the owners of it to lose their life:
Who executes justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, But the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
Don't exploit the poor, because he is poor; And don't crush the needy in court; For Yahweh will plead their case, And plunder the life of those who plunder them.
