10 Therefore I was displeased with that generation, And said, 'They always err in their heart, But they didn't know my ways;'
Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, And said, "It is a people that errs in their heart. They have not known my ways."
and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn't receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie; that they all might be judged who didn't believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;
Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn't come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.
My people consult with their wooded idol, And answer to a stick of wood. Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, And they have been unfaithful to their God.
But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [and] himself fought against them.
He has not done this for just any nation. They don't know his ordinances. Praise Yah!
How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness, And grieved him in the desert!
That your way may be known on earth, And your salvation among all nations,
They put away the foreign gods from among them, and served Yahweh; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

Chapter 3
In this chapter the apostle applies what he had said in the chapter foregoing concerning the priesthood of Christ,
Hbr 3:1-6
In these verses we have the application of the doctrine laid down in the close of the last chapter concerning the priesthood of our Lord Jesus Christ. And observe,
Hbr 3:7-19
Here the apostle proceeds in pressing upon them serious counsels and cautions to the close of the chapter; and he recites a passage out of Ps. 95:7, etc., where observe,
