2 I will tell God, 'Do not condemn me, Show me why you contend with me.
If you want to seek God diligently, Make your supplication to the Almighty. If you were pure and upright, Surely now he would awaken for you, And make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.
"For has any said to God, 'I am guilty, but I will not offend any more. Teach me that which I don't see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more'?
> Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath. Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh--how long? Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, And save me for your loving kindness' sake.
> Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your wrath, Neither chasten me in your hot displeasure. For your arrows have pierced me, Your hand presses hard on me. There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, Neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin. For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me. My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, Because of my foolishness. I am pained and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all day long. For my loins are filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh. I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.
Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.
The crown is fallen from our head: Woe to us! for we have sinned. For this our heart is faint; For these things our eyes are dim;
