2 "Do you think this to be your right, Or do you say, 'My righteousness is more than God's,'
I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
Know now that God has subverted me, And has surrounded me with his net. "Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry for help, but there is no justice.
"As God lives, who has taken away my right, The Almighty, who has made my soul bitter. (For the length of my life is still in me, And the spirit of God is in my nostrils); Surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, Neither shall my tongue utter deceit. Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me. I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

Job being still silent, Elihu follows his blow, and here, a third time, undertakes to show him that he had spoken amiss, and ought to recant. Three improper sayings he here charges him with, and returns answer to them distinctly:-
