13 No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you know?
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.
Now this, "He ascended," what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came forth from God, and was going to God,
They said, "Isn't this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does he say, 'I have come down out of heaven?'"
Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and{TR, NU omit "the Lord and"} God which he purchased with his own blood.
Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it to us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?
teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.
I came out from the Father, and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father." His disciples said to him, "Behold, now you speak plainly, and speak no figures of speech. Now we know that you know all things, and don't need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came forth from God."
