18 He said, "Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples."'"
Jesus therefore said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that his time had come that he would depart from this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled."
When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn't stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."
He sent two of his disciples, and said to them, "Go into the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him, and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"' He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Make ready for us there." His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found things as he had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.
He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters. Tell the master of the house, 'The Teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"' He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there." They went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
While he was still speaking, they came from the synagogue ruler's house saying, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?"
Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ.
But don't you be called 'Rabbi,' for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.
