6 An evil man is snared by his sin, But the righteous can sing and be glad.
Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to Yahweh, and said, "I will sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
The steps of his strength shall be shortened, His own counsel shall cast him down. For he is cast into a net by his own feet, And he wanders into its mesh. A snare shall take him by the heel; A trap shall lay hold on him. A noose is hidden for him in the ground, A trap for him in the way.
Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous. "The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare him. The cords of his sin hold him firmly.
The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way, But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, But the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.
For man also doesn't know his time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.
through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance;
He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Many shall stumble thereon, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
Count it all joy, my brothers{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."}, when you fall into various temptations,

It is a pity but that every one who sues sub formâ pauperis-as a pauper, should have an honest cause (they are of all others inexcusable if they have not), because the scripture has so well provided that it should have a fair hearing, and that the judge himself should be of counsel, as for the prisoner, so for the pauper.
