4 Where the tribes go up, even Yah's tribes, According to an ordinance for Israel, To give thanks to the name of Yahweh.
Three times in a year shall all your males appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tents; and they shall not appear before Yahweh empty:
Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh.
You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring the ark of the testimony in there within the veil: and the veil shall separate the holy place from the most holy for you. You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
Moses turned, and went down from the mountain, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand; tablets that were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.
Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel. For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before Yahweh, your God, three times in the year.
But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation shall you seek, and there you shall come;
then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there shall you bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.
I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will pay my vows to you, which my lips promised, And my mouth spoke, when I was in distress. I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals, With the offering of rams, I will offer bulls with goats. Selah. Come, and hear, all you who fear God. I will declare what he has done for my soul.
But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which he loved.
Give thanks to Yahweh, For he is good, For his loving kindness endures forever. Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, Whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary, And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

Commentary on Psalms 122 Matthew Henry Commentary
Psalm 122
This psalm seems to have been penned by David for the use of the people of Israel, when they came up to Jerusalem to worship at the three solemn feasts. It was in David's time that Jerusalem was first chosen to be the city where God would record his name. It being a new thing, this, among other means, was used to bring the people to be in love with Jerusalem, as the holy city, though it was but the other day in the hands of the Jebusites. Observe,
In singing this psalm we must have an eye to the gospel church, which is called the "Jerusalem that is from above.'
A song of degrees of David.
