7 I said: Days do speak, And multitude of years teach wisdom.
And king Rehoboam consulteth with the elders who have been standing in the presence of Solomon his father, in his being alive, saying, `How are ye counselling to answer this people?' And they speak unto him, saying, `If, to-day, thou art servant to this people, and hast served them, and answered them, and spoken unto them good words, then they have been to thee servants all the days.' And he forsaketh the counsel of the elders which they counselled him, and consulteth with the lads who have grown up with him, who are standing before him;
For, ask I pray thee of a former generation, And prepare to a search of their fathers, (For of yesterday we `are', and we know not, For a shadow `are' our days on earth.) Do they not shew thee -- speak to thee, And from their heart bring forth words?
Proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: For knowing wisdom and instruction, For understanding sayings of intelligence, For receiving the instruction of wisdom, Righteousness, judgment, and uprightness, For giving to simple ones -- prudence, To a youth -- knowledge and discretion.

Chapter 32
The stage is clear, for Job and his three friends have sat down, and neither he nor they have any thing more to say; it is therefore very seasonable for a moderator to interpose, and Elihu is the man. In this chapter we have,
And he did speak so well to this matter that Job made no reply to him, and God gave him no rebuke when he checked both Job himself and his other three friends.
Job 32:1-5
Usually young men are the disputants and old men the moderators; but here, when old men were the disputants, as a rebuke to them for their unbecoming heat, a young man is raised up to be the moderator. Divers of Job's friends were present, that came to visit him and to receive instruction. Now here we have,
