5 hearing of thy love and faith that thou hast unto the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,
Because of this I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and the love to all the saints,
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love that `is' to all the saints,
And Peter having risen, went with them, whom having come, they brought into the upper chamber, and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing coats and garments, as many as Dorcas was making while she was with them. And Peter having put them all forth without, having bowed the knees, did pray, and having turned unto the body said, `Tabitha, arise;' and she opened her eyes, and having seen Peter, she sat up, and having given her `his' hand, he lifted her up, and having called the saints and the widows, he presented her alive,
to the necessities of the saints communicating; the hospitality pursuing.
And concerning the collection that `is' for the saints, as I directed to the assemblies of Galatia, so also ye -- do ye;
for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith through love working.
and this is His command, that we may believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and may love one another, even as He did give command to us,

Commentary on Philemon 1 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 1
In this epistle we have,
Phm 1:1-7
Phm 1:8-25
We have here,
Amen is added, not only for strong and affectionate summing up the prayer and wish, so let it be; but as an expression of faith that it will be heard, so shall it be. And what need we more to make us happy than to have the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with our spirit? This is the usual benediction, but it may be taken here to have some special respect also to the occasion; the grace of Christ with their spirits, Philemon's especially, would sweeten and mollify them, take off too deep and keen resentments of injuries, and dispose to forgive others as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us.
