My tongue also all the day uttereth Thy righteousness, Because ashamed -- because confounded, Have been those seeking my evil!
The praise of Jehovah my mouth speaketh, And all flesh doth bless His holy name, To the age and for ever!
By David, in his changing his behaviour before Abimelech, and he driveth him away, and he goeth. I do bless Jehovah at all times, Continually His praise `is' in my mouth.
And call Me in a day of adversity, I deliver thee, and thou honourest Me.
My mouth recounteth Thy righteousness, All the day Thy salvation, For I have not known the numbers.
I sing to Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist. Sweet is my meditation on Him, I -- I do rejoice in Jehovah.

Psalm 35
David, in this psalm, appeals to the righteous Judge of heaven and earth against his enemies that hated and persecuted him. It is supposed that Saul and his party are the persons he means, for with them he had the greatest struggles.
In singing this psalm, and praying over it, we must take heed of applying it to any little peevish quarrels and enmities of our own, and of expressing by it any uncharitable revengeful resentments of injuries done to us; for Christ has taught us to forgive our enemies and not to pray against them, but to pray for them, as he did; but,
