Luke 8:24 - And G1161 they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then G1161 he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
Luke 8:25 - And G1161 he said unto them, Where is your faith? And G1161 they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
Luke 8:27 - And G1161 when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
Luke 8:28 - When G1161 he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
Luke 8:30 - And G1161 Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And G1161 he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
Luke 8:32 - And G1161 there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
Luke 8:33 - Then G1161 went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
Luke 8:34 - When G1161 they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
Luke 8:35 - Then G1161 they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Luke 8:37 - Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and G1161 he went up into the ship, and returned back again.
Luke 8:38 - Now G1161 the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but G1161 Jesus sent him away, saying,
Luke 8:40 - And G1161 it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
Luke 8:42 - For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But G1161 as he went the people thronged him.
Luke 8:45 - And Jesus said, Who touched me? When G1161 all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
Luke 8:46 - And G1161 Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
Luke 8:47 - And G1161 when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
Luke 8:48 - And G1161 he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Luke 8:50 - But G1161 when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
Luke 8:51 - And G1161 when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.
Luke 8:52 - And G1161 all wept, and bewailed her: but G1161 he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.
Luke 8:54 - And G1161 he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
Luke 8:56 - And her parents were astonished: but G1161 he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.
Luke 9:1 - Then G1161 he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
Luke 9:6 - And G1161 they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
Luke 9:7 - Now G1161 Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;
Luke 9:8 - And G1161 of some, that Elias had appeared; and G1161 of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.
Luke 9:9 - And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but G1161 who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
Luke 9:11 - And G1161 the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
Luke 9:12 - And G1161 when the day began to wear away, then G1161 came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
Luke 9:13 - But G1161 he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And G1161 they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.
Luke 9:14 - For they were about five thousand men. And G1161 he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.
Luke 9:16 - Then G1161 he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.
Luke 9:19 - They G1161 answering said, John the Baptist; but G1161 some say, Elias; and G1161 others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.
Luke 9:20 - G1161 He said unto them, But G1161 whom say ye that I am? G1161 Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
Luke 9:21 - And G1161 he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;
Luke 9:23 - And G1161 he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:24 - For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but G1161 whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
Luke 9:25 - For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and G1161 lose himself, or be cast away?
Luke 9:27 - But G1161 I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:28 - And G1161 it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
Luke 9:32 - But G1161 Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and G1161 when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
Luke 9:34 - While G1161 he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and G1161 they feared as they entered into the cloud.
Luke 9:37 - And G1161 it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.
Luke 9:41 - And G1161 Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
Luke 9:42 - And G1161 as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And G1161 Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
Luke 9:43 - And G1161 they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But G1161 while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,
Luke 9:45 - But G1161 they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
Luke 9:46 - Then G1161 there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
Luke 9:47 - And G1161 Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
Luke 9:49 - And G1161 John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
