13 Whoso despiseth H936 the word H1697 shall be destroyed: H2254 but he that feareth H3373 the commandment H4687 shall be rewarded. H7999
But they mocked H3931 the messengers H4397 of God, H430 and despised H959 his words, H1697 and misused H8591 his prophets, H5030 until the wrath H2534 of the LORD H3068 arose H5927 against his people, H5971 till there was no remedy. H4832
Great H7227 peace H7965 have they which love H157 thy law: H8451 and nothing shall offend H4383 them.
Because they had not executed H6213 my judgments, H4941 but had despised H3988 my statutes, H2708 and had polluted H2490 my sabbaths, H7676 and their eyes H5869 were after H310 their fathers' H1 idols. H1544
He G5100 that despised G114 Moses' G3475 law G3551 died G599 without G5565 mercy G3628 under G1909 two G1417 or G2228 three G5140 witnesses: G3144 Of how much G4214 sorer G5501 punishment, G5098 suppose ye, G1380 shall he be thought worthy, G515 who G3588 hath trodden under foot G2662 the Son G5207 of God, G2316 and G2532 hath counted G2233 the blood G129 of the covenant, G1242 wherewith G3739 G1722 he was sanctified, G37 an unholy thing, G2839 and G2532 hath done despite G1796 unto the Spirit G4151 of grace? G5485
Rejoice, G5463 and G2532 be exceeding glad: G21 for G3754 great G4183 is your G5216 reward G3408 in G1722 heaven: G3772 for G1063 so G3779 persecuted they G1377 the prophets G4396 which G3588 were before G4253 you. G5216
Then they that feared H3373 the LORD H3068 spake often H1696 one H376 to another: H7453 and the LORD H3068 hearkened, H7181 and heard H8085 it, and a book H5612 of remembrance H2146 was written H3789 before H6440 him for them that feared H3373 the LORD, H3068 and that thought H2803 upon his name. H8034
But the house H1004 of Israel H3478 rebelled H4784 against me in the wilderness: H4057 they walked H1980 not in my statutes, H2708 and they despised H3988 my judgments, H4941 which if a man H120 do, H6213 he shall even live H2425 in them; and my sabbaths H7676 they greatly H3966 polluted: H2490 then I said, H559 I would pour out H8210 my fury H2534 upon them in the wilderness, H4057 to consume H3615 them.
As for the word H1697 that thou hast spoken H1696 unto us in the name H8034 of the LORD, H3068 we will not hearken H8085 unto thee. But we will certainly H6213 do H6213 whatsoever thing H1697 goeth forth H3318 out of our own mouth, H6310 to burn incense H6999 unto the queen H4446 of heaven, H8064 and to pour out H5258 drink offerings H5262 unto her, as we have done, H6213 we, and our fathers, H1 our kings, H4428 and our princes, H8269 in the cities H5892 of Judah, H3063 and in the streets H2351 of Jerusalem: H3389 for then had we plenty H7646 of victuals, H3899 and were well, H2896 and saw H7200 no evil. H7451
Then spake H559 Azariah H5838 the son H1121 of Hoshaiah, H1955 and Johanan H3110 the son H1121 of Kareah, H7143 and all the proud H2086 men, H582 saying H559 unto Jeremiah, H3414 Thou speakest H1696 falsely: H8267 the LORD H3068 our God H430 hath not sent H7971 thee to say, H559 Go H935 not into Egypt H4714 to sojourn H1481 there:
For all those things hath mine hand H3027 made, H6213 and all those things have been, saith H5002 the LORD: H3068 but to this man will I look, H5027 even to him that is poor H6041 and of a contrite H5223 spirit, H7307 and trembleth H2730 at my word. H1697
But ye have set at nought H6544 all my counsel, H6098 and would H14 none of my reproof: H8433
Wherefore hast thou despised H959 the commandment H1697 of the LORD, H3068 to do H6213 evil H7451 in his sight? H5869 thou hast killed H5221 Uriah H223 the Hittite H2850 with the sword, H2719 and hast taken H3947 his wife H802 to be thy wife, H802 and hast slain H2026 him with the sword H2719 of the children H1121 of Ammon. H5983 Now therefore the sword H2719 shall never H5704 H5769 depart H5493 from thine house; H1004 because H6118 thou hast despised H959 me, and hast taken H3947 the wife H802 of Uriah H223 the Hittite H2850 to be thy wife. H802
Now therefore let us make H3772 a covenant H1285 with our God H430 to put away H3318 all the wives, H802 and such as are born H3205 of them, according to the counsel H6098 of my lord, H136 and of those that tremble H2730 at the commandment H4687 of our God; H430 and let it be done H6213 according to the law.
