Ezra 4:8 - Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king H4430 in this sort:
Ezra 4:11 - This is the copy of the letter that they sent unto him, even unto Artaxerxes the king; H4430 Thy servants the men on this side the river, and at such a time.
Ezra 4:12 - Be it known unto the king, H4430 that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations.
Ezra 4:13 - Be it known now unto the king, H4430 that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings. H4430
Ezra 4:14 - Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's H4430 dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king; H4430
Ezra 4:15 - That search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings H4430 and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time: for which cause was this city destroyed.
Ezra 4:16 - We certify the king H4430 that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river.
Ezra 4:17 - Then sent the king H4430 an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time.
Ezra 4:19 - And I commanded, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, H4430 and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein.
Ezra 4:20 - There have been mighty kings H4430 also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
Ezra 4:22 - Take heed now that ye fail not to do this: why should damage grow to the hurt of the kings? H4430
Ezra 4:23 - Now when the copy of king H4430 Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power.
Ezra 4:24 - Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king H4430 of Persia.
Ezra 5:6 - The copy of the letter that Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai, and his companions the Apharsachites, which were on this side the river, sent unto Darius the king: H4430
Ezra 5:7 - They sent a letter unto him, wherein was written thus; Unto Darius the king, H4430 all peace.
Ezra 5:8 - Be it known unto the king, H4430 that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands.
Ezra 5:11 - And thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a great king H4430 of Israel builded and set up.
Ezra 5:12 - But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king H4430 of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon.
Ezra 5:13 - But in the first year of Cyrus the king H4430 of Babylon the same king H4430 Cyrus made a decree to build this house of God.
Ezra 5:14 - And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king H4430 take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor;
Ezra 5:17 - Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, H4430 let there be search made in the king's H4430 treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king H4430 to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king H4430 send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
Ezra 6:1 - Then Darius the king H4430 made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.
Ezra 6:3 - In the first year of Cyrus the king H4430 the same Cyrus the king H4430 made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;
Ezra 6:4 - With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's H4430 house:
Ezra 6:8 - Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's H4430 goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.
Ezra 6:10 - That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, H4430 and of his sons.
Ezra 6:12 - And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings H4430 and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
Ezra 6:13 - Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king H4430 had sent, so they did speedily.
Ezra 6:14 - And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king H4430 of Persia.
Ezra 6:15 - And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king. H4430
Ezra 7:12 - Artaxerxes, king H4430 of kings, H4430 unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.
Ezra 7:14 - Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, H4430 and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;
Ezra 7:15 - And to carry the silver and gold, which the king H4430 and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,
Ezra 7:20 - And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king's H4430 treasure house.
Ezra 7:21 - And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, H4430 do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
Ezra 7:23 - Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king H4430 and his sons?
Ezra 7:26 - And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, H4430 let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
Daniel 2:4 - Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, H4430 live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.
Daniel 2:5 - The king H4430 answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
Daniel 2:7 - They answered again and said, Let the king H4430 tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it.
Daniel 2:8 - The king H4430 answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me.
Daniel 2:10 - The Chaldeans answered before the king, H4430 and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's H4430 matter: therefore there is no king, H4430 lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
Daniel 2:11 - And it is a rare thing that the king H4430 requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, H4430 except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.
Daniel 2:12 - For this cause the king H4430 was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel 2:14 - Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king's H4430 guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:
Daniel 2:15 - He answered and said to Arioch the king's H4430 captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? H4430 Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
Daniel 2:16 - Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king H4430 that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king H4430 the interpretation.
Daniel 2:21 - And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, H4430 and setteth up kings: H4430 he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Daniel 2:23 - I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's H4430 matter.
Daniel 2:24 - Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king H4430 had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, H4430 and I will shew unto the king H4430 the interpretation.
